Unmilled malt for fresh ingredients
For quality and shelf life, the malt is supplied unmilled. Milled malt starts to lose flavour and aroma, so malt milled just before brewing gives the best result. If you do not already have a malt mill, we recommend getting one so you have fresh ingredients on brew day.
Frequently asked questions about the Adventure Pale Ale all-grain kit
What does Adventure Pale Ale taste like?
It is a fruity American pale ale with citrus and pine from the Cascade hops, a fragrant bouquet and a spicy flavour. The recipe is a clone of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
How much beer does it make?
The kit is designed for 29 litres before the boil and approx. 24.5 litres after the boil. The finished beer is approx. 5.6% ABV.
Which yeast is included, and how is the beer fermented?
The kit contains two packs of US-05. The beer is fermented for 14 days at 20 °C.
Why is the malt unmilled?
Milled malt loses flavour and aroma over time. Brewshop stores the malt unmilled and only mills it if you choose milled malt when ordering. With your own malt mill, you can mill the malt just before brewing.

Yes. Adventure Pale Ale is also available as a 20L Fresh Wort Kit with ready-brewed wort, for those who do not mash themselves.
