How to choose the right grill
The most important choice is the fuel. It decides how quickly the grill is ready, how much smoke flavour you get and how easy it is to hold a steady temperature for many hours.

The brands in our grill range
Traeger – pellet grills
A Traeger pellet grill burns wood pellets, and a digital controller holds the temperature you set. The range goes from the portable Ranger, which runs on 230 V and 250 W and reaches 232 °C, to the Pro Series 22, Woodridge, Ironwood and Timberline. Several models have WiFIRE® and are controlled from an app.
Napoleon – gas grills and kettle grill
Napoleon offers the Freestyle 365 and 425 gas grills, the Rogue PRO-S with an infrared SIZZLE ZONE™, the Prestige PRO 500 and the portable TravelQ PRO 285X. The PRO22 is a 57 cm kettle grill with cast iron WAVE™ grates and room for 22 burgers. Napoleon is currently only sold in Norway.
M Grills – the M16, one of the world's best charcoal grills
The M16 Cookoff Grill is one of the world's best charcoal grills. It is handmade in the USA from 2.5 mm AISI 304 stainless steel, with fully welded seams and a gasket in the lid. A four-way vent system and a Tel-Tru thermometer give precise temperature control. The grill weighs about 40 kg, comes in three parts and can be used as a table grill or on the M16 Folding Cart. The M16 is the grill used in the Norwegian TV 2 series Kokkeskolen with Eivind Hellstrøm.
YAKINIKU – kamado and shichirin
YAKINIKU makes ceramic charcoal grills with cordierite and stainless steel details. The Kamado Large 49 cm Complete comes with a stand, side tables and a set for combining direct and indirect heat. The kamado also comes in 56 and 61 cm, and the shichirin and konro are used for table grilling with binchotan.
SnS – Slow ’N Sear kettle grill
The SnS Master Kettle Grill 57 cm comes with the Slow ’N Sear® insert, which splits the grill into a hot zone and a cool zone. You get both low & slow and hard searing in the same kettle grill.
Thermometers and accessories
A meat thermometer does more for the result than anything else, whatever the grill. The Meater Pro is wireless, has six sensors and withstands direct heat up to 550 °C. The Inkbird IBBQ-4T has four probes and WiFi, so you follow the temperature in an app. Tongs, spatulas, smoker boxes, covers and drip tray liners are under grill accessories. Pellets, charcoal and binchotan are under pellets and charcoal.

Frequently asked questions about grills
What is the difference between a pellet grill, a gas grill and a charcoal grill?
A pellet grill burns wood pellets and is run by an electronic controller, so the temperature stays steady for many hours. A gas grill is the quickest to get going and easy to adjust. A charcoal grill gives high direct heat and charcoal flavour, but you control the temperature yourself with the vents.
Which grill is best for smoking and low & slow?
A pellet grill is the easiest, because the controller holds the temperature for you. A kamado holds heat well thanks to its thick ceramic walls. On a kettle grill you can use an insert such as the Slow ’N Sear to create a separate zone for indirect heat.
Does a pellet grill need electricity?
Yes. The controller, the fan and the auger that feeds the pellets all run on electricity. The Traeger Ranger uses 230 V and 250 W and can be plugged into an ordinary socket or a portable power station.
What is a kamado?
A kamado is an egg-shaped ceramic charcoal grill. The thick ceramic insulates well, and the air intake at the bottom and the vent in the lid control the temperature. The same grill can be used for smoking, regular grilling and pizza.
