Brewtools mash temperature sensor – digital sensor for the malt pipe
A 500 mm digital temperature sensor (DS18B20) from Brewtools. It measures the temperature of the mash in the malt pipe while you brew, so you see the temperature where the enzymes are actually working. A sensor holder for the rim of the malt pipe is included.
The sensor connects to the AUX port on the back of the control panel. A software update of the control system may be required.

Where does the sensor connect?

Why measure the temperature in the malt pipe?
The mash temperature controls which enzymes are active and how dry the beer turns out. A sensor in the malt pipe shows the temperature where the mash actually sits.
