This push-fit connector from John Guest is a reducer between 3/8" and 5/16". It lets you join two tubes or pipes of different sizes, for example in draught systems and on the gas side between regulator and keg. How do I connect the tube?
Cut the tube square and push it into the fitting until it stops. To release it, press in the collet and pull the tube out.
Which tube fits?
John Guest sizes refer to the outside diameter of the tube. The fitting takes tube with an outside diameter of 3/8" at one end and 5/16" (approx. 8 mm) at the other.
Why is my beer foaming even though the fitting is on?
A microscopic leak at a John Guest fitting can draw in air and cause foam. Cut off the end of the tube and reconnect it.
