V20 filter sheets 0.7 micron, 20 × 20 cm – for Grifo plate filters

Pack of 25 paper fibre filter sheets, type V20, for Grifo plate filters. The sheets measure 20 × 20 cm and filter down to approx. 0.7 micron. V20 is a sterilising filter sheet. Grifo recommends it for polishing and sterile filtration of wines with residual sugar that has not fermented out.

Which plate filters do the sheets fit?

The sheets are 20 × 20 cm and fit Grifo plate filters that take this size, such as the FCH10 Hobby plate filter and FCP20 professional plate filter.

What is the difference between V20 and the other filter sheets?

V20 filters down to approx. 0.7 micron. Coarser are V0 (18 micron), V4 (15 micron), V8, V16 (2 micron) and V18 (1 micron), and finer is V24 (0.5 micron). A higher V number means finer filtration.

How do I get the best out of V20?

The wine should be clear before you filter with V20. Filter with a coarser sheet first, otherwise the V20 sheets clog quickly.

Are the sheets approved for food contact?

Yes. The series meets the requirements of CE 1935/2004, BfR recommendation Ch XXXVI and FDA CFR 21 176.170.
