Description
Perle hop pellets 100 g – German hop for lager, Kölsch and wheat beer
Perle is a German hop with balanced bitterness and a complex aroma combining spicy, herbal and lightly fruity notes. It works as both a bittering and an aroma hop, and is used in everything from pilsner and lager to wheat beer and ales. Perle gives the beer a rounded hop profile and pairs well with Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Tettnanger and Saaz.
German Perle was released in 1978 and was bred from a Northern Brewer female and a German male. A US Perle appeared in the 1980s, but it has completely different characteristics.

Storage and quality
The hops are vacuum packed and stored in a freezer room at -18 °C, so the quality keeps for several years. We focus on offering hops from the last two crop years, but older hops can be just as good as long as they have been stored correctly. At home, keep the hops cold, dark and airtight, preferably in the freezer. Read more about shelf life and storage of hops in the article from Yakima Valley Hops (PDF).
