Description
Brewtools overflow pipe kit, universal – prevents dry running and grain in the wort
The Brewtools overflow pipe system helps you avoid dry running and grain in the wort. It also stops wort and grain from overflowing the mash tun if the mash gets stuck. The system attaches to the laser-cut bottom filters and can be adjusted from about half a batch to a full malt pipe. It does not fit the new B25, B50, B100 and B180 series.
On laser-cut filters you knock out the pre-cut hole in the filter. On a standard filter you use a 25 mm hole punch. The kit is not intended for bottom filters made of expanded metal.
Note: A high-power brewing machine should never be left unattended. The overflow pipe is an extra safety measure but does not guarantee that the heating element cannot run dry.

Frequently asked questions about the Brewtools overflow pipe kit
What does the overflow pipe do?
If the mash gets stuck and the wort rises in the malt pipe, it flows into the pipe instead of over the edge. This reduces the risk of dry running and of grain ending up in the wort.
How do I adapt it to the batch size?
The kit includes 200, 300 and 400 mm pipes in addition to the 180 mm overflow pipe, so you can adjust the height from about half a batch to a full malt pipe.
Does it fit all bottom filters?
It fits laser-cut bottom filters and standard filters where you make a hole with a 25 mm hole punch. It is not intended for expanded metal filters.
Does it fit the new Brewtools machines?
No. The kit does not fit the new B25, B50, B100 and B180 series.
