Description
Adapter 1/4" FFL to 3/16" push-fit – for anti-foam beer line
This stainless steel quick connector has 1/4" FFL threads at one end and a push-fit for 3/16" outer diameter tubing at the other. It mounts directly onto a threaded ball lock disconnect. This means you do not need adapters from, for example, 3/8" to 3/16" when using anti-foam 3/16" tubing, and fewer parts mean less risk of leaks.
Technical data
- Thread: 1/4" FFL (female)
- Tubing connection: push-fit for 3/16" outer diameter
- Material: 316 stainless steel
- Seal: Viton rubber
Important with low profile ball lock
If you use a low profile ball lock disconnect, you must use a 1/4" Nylon Flare Washer (gasket) to avoid leaks. Low profile ball locks have no integrated gasket, so it is steel against steel.

Frequently asked questions about the 1/4" FFL to 3/16" adapter
Which tubing fits?
The fitting takes tubing with a 3/16" outer diameter, such as anti-foam LDPE tubing.
Does it fit low profile ball lock disconnects?
Yes, but you then need a 1/4" Nylon Flare Washer, because low profile ball locks have no integrated gasket.
Why use anti-foam 3/16" tubing?
The narrow tubing gives more resistance, so the beer foams less at the tap. The line should be at least 1.5–2 metres long.
