Lindr Keg Filler – filling head for PolyKeg and KeyKeg
A filling head from Lindr for filling PolyKeg and other kegs with a KK (KeyKeg) valve. The filling head makes filling PolyKegs easy and lets you apply counter pressure between the keg and the bag after filling.
Counter pressure when filling PolyKeg with a bag
When filling a PolyKeg with a bag, it is recommended to apply a counter pressure of up to 0.5 bar between the keg and the bag after filling. This has two advantages:
- Constant pressure on the bag stops CO2 from leaving the beer at higher temperatures or when shaken. This prevents foam and partial oxidation.
- You avoid drops of beer between the bag and the keg after filling. If it does happen, the bag is not damaged, but it does not look good.
Note: This only applies when filling PolyKeg with a bag, not PolyKeg without a bag.
Connection
The filling head has 5/8" BSP threads and fits John Guest and DMfit push-fit fittings:
- DMfit Female Adaptor F 5/8" BSP to 5/16" for 5/16" LLDPE tubing
- DMfit Female Adaptor F 5/8" BSP to 3/8" for 3/8" LLDPE tubing
