Malt milling – choose crushed or whole malt
Malt milling is a service in our shop at Bratsbergvegen 2E in Trondheim. When you buy loose malt from us, you can choose how the malt is delivered: crushed or whole, mixed or separate.
Please note: This product is only available in Norway.
Options
- Crushed – mixed: the malt is milled and mixed together
- Whole – separate: the malt is delivered whole, each type packed separately
- Whole – mixed: the malt is delivered whole but mixed together
- Quantity: per 100 g or per kg
Frequently asked questions about malt milling
Should I choose crushed or whole malt?
Crushed malt is ready to mash straight away. Whole malt keeps longer and is the right choice if you have your own malt mill and want to mill just before brewing.
Why mixed or separate?
Mixed suits when all the malt goes into the same brew. Separate suits when you want to use the malt types in different recipes.
