What does a collet do?
The collet holds the tube in the fitting. Push it in and the teeth release their grip so the tube can be pulled out.
When should I replace the collet?
When the tube slips out or does not hold pressure, or when the collet is cracked or missing. Also check that the tube end is cut square and pushed all the way in.
Does it fit other sizes?
No, this one is for 3/8" fittings. We also stock a collet for 1/2" fittings.
