Description
John Guest 3/8" – 3/16" Reducer – for foam-reducing beer line
The John Guest 3/8" – 3/16" Reducer has a 3/8" stem at one end and a push-fit connection for tubing with a 3/16" outside diameter at the other. The stem pushes straight into a 3/8" push-fit fitting, for example on an adapter on the tap shank. This lets you step down to thin, foam-reducing 3/16" tubing. John Guest push-fit fittings give a fast, secure and leak-free connection for both liquids and gas under pressure, and they are food-grade approved.

Frequently asked questions about the John Guest 3/8" – 3/16" Reducer
What is a stem?
A stem is a smooth tube end with the same size as the tubing. It pushes into a push-fit fitting just like tubing, in this case a 3/8" fitting.
Why use 3/16" tubing?
Thinner tubing gives more resistance, so the beer comes out of the tap more gently and foams less.
Can the fitting be used with Star San?
Acid-based products can over time make plastic parts such as John Guest fittings brittle.
