Description

John Guest 15mm Double Check Valve – prevents backflow

Double check valve (15DCV) from John Guest with push-fit for 15 mm pipe at both ends. The valve ensures water only flows one way and protects the water supply against backflow and back syphonage from the connected equipment. It is made for drinks dispense and water supply lines.

How it works

The valve has two spring-loaded check valves, one on each side of a test cock. An arrow on the valve shows the direction of flow. Push the pipe straight into the push-fit ends. To disconnect, push the collet towards the valve and pull the pipe out. The valve can be mounted in any position.

FAQ about the John Guest 15mm Double Check Valve

What is the difference between a single and a double check valve?

A single check valve has one valve. The double has two valves with a test cock in between, giving extra protection against water flowing back. John Guest also makes a single check valve for 3/8" tubing.

Can I connect it to 3/8" tubing?

Yes, with an adaptor. John Guest 15mm stem to 3/8" tube adaptor plugs into the valve and takes 3/8" tubing at the other end.

Can the valve be used for CO2 or air?

No. The valve is for liquids only.

How do I know which way round it goes?

An arrow on the valve shows the direction of flow.
