Description
Inline oxygenation kit with 34 mm Tri-Clamp – Brewtools
With this kit you oxygenate the wort while it is pumped from the brewing system to the fermenter. The tee and fittings have 34 mm Tri-Clamp connections, which fit Brewtools. Oxygen is added through a 0.5 micron stone, which gives fine bubbles that dissolve well in the wort.
Included
- TC 34 mm tee
- Holder for O2/CO2 stone with hose barb for 6–10 mm hose
- O2/CO2 stone, 0.5 micron, G1/8" thread
- 3 pcs. TC 34 mm clamps
- 5 pcs. TC 34 mm gaskets
- 1 gasket between stone and holder
We recommend a sight glass after the tee, so you can keep an eye on the oxygen flow.
Frequently asked questions about inline oxygenation
How much oxygen does the wort need?
Brewshop recommends for 25 litres: ale up to OG 1.060 needs approx. 8 ppm (1 l/min for 80 seconds), and ale above 1.060 and lager need approx. 14 ppm (1 l/min for 160 seconds).
What pressure should the regulator be set to?
Brewshop recommends 0.5–1 bar on the regulator together with a 0.5 micron stone.
When should the wort be oxygenated?
Only before the yeast is pitched, i.e. while the wort is transferred to the fermenter. Never add oxygen after fermentation has started.
What else do I need?
An oxygen cylinder with a regulator and a 6–10 mm hose for the hose barb. A sight glass after the tee makes it easier to keep track.
