Cooling coil for Apollo 60L Snub Nose and Apollo 60L Unitank – Keg King
Stainless steel cooling coil from Keg King for the Apollo 60L Snub Nose and Apollo 60L Unitank fermenters. You circulate coolant through the coil and so control the temperature in the tank during fermentation. The coil is designed so that it does not get in the way of the plunger valve or thermowell.
The coil also fits the older Fermenter King 35, which has been discontinued. On that tank it is fitted by drilling two holes in the expansion ports on the lid to make room for the bulkhead fittings.

What else do I need?
A source of coolant and a pump, such as a glycol chiller, and a temperature controller that decides when to cool.
Why is temperature control important?
A stable temperature gives a cleaner fermentation with fewer off-flavours. The yeast produces heat itself during peak fermentation, and without cooling the temperature can rise several degrees.
