Chemipro San 250 ml – acid-based sanitizer for brewing equipment
Chemipro San is a high-foaming, acid-based sanitizer for brewing equipment, bottles and cans. The foam helps it reach difficult spots. Chemipro San is an alternative to Star San and contains the same active ingredients: phosphoric acid and dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid.
Chemipro San is used on equipment that has already been cleaned. Everything that comes into contact with the wort after the boil must be both cleaned and sanitized.
How to use Chemipro San
- Dosage: 15–25 ml per 10 litres of water
- Contact time: at least 1 minute
Chemipro San can still be used as a no-rinse sanitizer, but in line with European legislation, both Chemipro San and Star San are now recommended to be rinsed with clean water after use.
Good to know
- Acid-based sanitizers are not suitable for soft metals
- Acid can make plastic parts, such as John Guest fittings, brittle over time. Rinse them with water
- A spray bottle of ready-mixed Chemipro San is handy to have on brew day

Can I use Chemipro San on brass?
No. Acid-based sanitizers are not suitable for soft metals such as brass. Use an alcohol-based product for those materials.
