Chemipro San 1 L – high-foaming acid-based sanitizer for brewing equipment

Chemipro San is an acid-based sanitizer for brewing equipment, bottles and cans, used after cleaning with for example PBW or Chemipro Wash. It is high-foaming, so it reaches difficult spots. Chemipro San is a good alternative to Star San and contains the same active ingredients: phosphoric acid and dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid.

It can be used without rinsing as before, but under current regulations it is now recommended that both Chemipro San and Star San are rinsed with water after use.

What is the difference between Chemipro San and Star San?

How much Chemipro San should I use?

Mix 15–25 ml in 10 litres of water and allow a contact time of at least 1 minute.

Do I need to clean the equipment before using Chemipro San?

Yes. Chemipro San is not a cleaner. Clean the equipment first with for example PBW or Chemipro Wash, then use Chemipro San on everything that touches the wort after the boil.

Can I use Chemipro San on a uKeg or other brass parts?

No, acid-based sanitizers are not suitable for soft metals. For brass, use an alcohol-based product such as Sirafan Speed.
