BrewSSSiphon Basic Kit – auto-siphon in stainless steel and silicone

The BrewSSSiphon is an auto-siphon, a siphon with a built-in pump, made entirely of stainless steel and silicone. It is used to transfer beer, wine and cider out of the fermenter without picking up sediment, and is designed to last for many years. Brewshop is the Norwegian importer of BrewSSSiphon.

What is in the Basic Kit

  • BrewSSSiphon auto-siphon
  • Carboy SSSleeve: silicone stopper and holder that fits glass and PET carboys
  • SSSpring Clip: nickel-plated steel clip that holds the siphon on the rim of a fermenting bucket

We recommend 10 mm silicone hose for the BrewSSSiphon. The hose is not included.

  • Triple-contact plunger seal, over-moulded onto the plunger cane, that keeps oxygen out during transfer
  • Removable check valve that can be quickly cleaned, sanitized and refitted if it clogs
  • Can be fully taken apart and cleaned by hand
  • Can be sanitized in an oven for 1 hour at 100 °C
  • One siphon for both regular beer and sours, because it can be fully taken apart and sanitized
  • The SSSpring Clip and Carboy SSSleeve let you set the depth, so you avoid sucking up sediment and keep your hands free during transfer
  • Stainless steel and silicone can be recycled when the siphon eventually wears out

Which hose fits the BrewSSSiphon?

We recommend 10 mm silicone hose. The hose is not included in the Basic Kit.

How do I sanitize the siphon?

The BrewSSSiphon can be fully taken apart and cleaned by hand. It can then be sanitized with sanitizer, or in an oven for 1 hour at 100 °C.

Can I use the same siphon for sours and regular beer?

Yes. Because the siphon can be fully taken apart and sanitized, you do not need a separate siphon for sours and wild yeasts.

What do I do if the siphon clogs?

The check valve at the end can be removed, cleaned, sanitized and refitted in no time.

Does it fit carboys?

Yes, the Carboy SSSleeve in the kit fits glass and PET carboys. On buckets you attach the siphon with the SSSpring Clip.
