Description
Anti-Foam Vinoferm – antifoaming agent for wort and yeast starters (100 ml)
Anti-Foam from Vinoferm is a silicone-based agent that prevents foam from forming. It is odourless, tasteless and neutral. It is boiled together with the wort and disperses quickly. Homebrewers use it to prevent boil-overs when the wort comes to the boil, and in yeast starters on a stir plate, which easily foam over.

Frequently asked questions about Anti-Foam Vinoferm
What is Anti-Foam used for?
To reduce foam. Most brewers use it in the boil to prevent boil-overs, and in yeast starters on a stir plate.
When do I add Anti-Foam?
It is boiled together with the wort and disperses quickly. In a yeast starter, add it to the starter wort before boiling.
Does Anti-Foam affect the flavour?
No. It is odourless, tasteless and neutral.
Why is Anti-Foam included in the yeast starter kit?
A starter on a stir plate foams easily, and the foam can push out past the cotton plug. Anti-Foam reduces the foam so the starter stays in the flask.
