Description
Speidel 20L #Braumeister PLUS – fully automatic 20-litre brewing system
The #Braumeister PLUS from Speidel is a fully automatic brewing system for 20 litres of finished beer. It has a touchscreen controller with integrated WiFi, a temperature sensor in the centre rod in the middle of the malt and an external cooling jacket for cooling after the boil. With accessories, the machine can also be used as a temperature-controlled fermenter.
With the automatic control system you brew your own recipes and are guided through the brewing process. Recipes and software updates sync automatically via the integrated WiFi, with no separate WiFi module. Time and temperature are held precisely through all brewing phases because the sensor sits in the middle of the malt. The patented malt pipe technology circulates the wort gently, and an extra outlet valve at the bottom makes cleaning easy.
Fermenting in the Braumeister PLUS
With integrated fermentation control, the machine can be used as a temperature-controlled fermenter. After brewing, transfer the wort to a bucket or tank, clean the machine and return the wort. Fit a tight lid with an airlock (Fermentation Kit, sold separately) and connect Speidel's solenoid valve (sold separately), which opens and closes the cooling water. Fermentation is then controlled from the control panel.
For temperature control during fermentation, simply connect a hose from the tap to the solenoid valve and the machine does the rest. The solenoid valve also allows automatic cooling of the wort after the boil. For cold crashing you need a glycol chiller, which also speeds up cooling after the boil.
Features
- control system with touchscreen, integrated brewing guide and WiFi for software updates and recipe sync
- made of stainless steel
- cooling jacket for easy, hygienic cooling with water, without an immersion chiller. Add an extra coil chiller if you want to cool faster
- patented malt pipe system that circulates from bottom to top, against gravity, with no pipes on the outside
- Pump Break: the pump pauses every 10 minutes during mashing so the grain bed settles and the liquid finds new paths through the mash, giving a higher yield
- easy cleaning with extra bottom valve, smooth welds, 3D surface and a pump that is easy to open
- service-friendly: all connections to pump, controller and sensor are screwed on and quick to replace
Note: The cooling jacket on the PLUS does not work properly with the short malt pipe and a half batch of wort.
Software
- brewing guide that also shows quantity and type of raw materials
- exact temperature measurement
- help information during brewing
- adjustable pump pauses
- integrated WiFi for updates and recipe sync with MySpeidel
- integrated raw material database
- timer for delayed brew start
- option for accessories for automatic cooling
- fermentation control for fermenting in the Braumeister, also with Tilt data
- remote control (requires a MySpeidel Plus subscription)

Frequently asked questions about the Speidel 20L Braumeister PLUS
How much beer can I brew?
Up to 20 litres of finished beer, equal to approx. 23 litres of wort. The maximum malt quantity is 6 kg.
Can I ferment in the Braumeister PLUS?
Yes. With the Fermentation Kit (lid with airlock) and Speidel's solenoid valve, the machine controls the fermentation temperature with cooling water. For cold crashing you also need a glycol chiller.
What power supply do I need?
230 V with a fuse of at least 10 A. The heating element is 2000 W.
How do I cool the wort after the boil?
The machine has a welded cooling jacket with 1" BSP connections, and two Gardena couplings are included. Connect cold water and the wort is cooled without an immersion chiller. To cool faster, you can add an extra coil chiller.
Can I use the short malt pipe and a half batch?
The machine can brew a half batch with the short malt pipe, but the cooling jacket then does not work properly.
