Topsflo TD5 PWM Speed Control
(PWM = Pulse Width Modulation)
The TD5 Beer Brewing Pump is a very quiet but powerful 35W magnetic drive brushless pump of high quality from Topsflo. With a food-grade stainless steel head, and food-grade Xyron PPE plastic material and O-rings that can withstand 150°C, the pump is specially designed to tolerate the high temperatures encountered during beer brewing, and works equally well for recirculation during mashing as for transferring boiling wort with, for example, a counterflow chiller. Even easier to clean in the new version with separate rotor and bearing.
The TD5 PWM has a built-in circuit for speed control and comes with three cables: Red (+), black (-), blue (PWM). A PWM signal of 0-5V, 100-100KHz, controls the speed. The pump only works if the blue cable receives a signal from a speed controller.
