Project Brew heating mat 30W – heat belt for fermenters

A heating mat designed for standard homebrew fermenters. The mat spreads the heat evenly without hot spots, wraps around the fermenter and fastens with Velcro. Use it together with an Inkbird temperature controller to hold the right temperature during fermentation.

Frequently asked questions about the Project Brew heating mat 30W

Do I need a temperature controller?

Yes, it is recommended. A controller such as the Inkbird ITC-308 switches the mat on and off according to the temperature in the fermenter, so fermentation stays at an even temperature.

When is a heating mat useful?

When the room is colder than the yeast needs, for example in a cold basement in winter. With a heating mat and temperature controller you can also ferment kveik, such as High Voltage, at high temperatures.

Does it fit large tanks?

The 30 W mat is made for regular homebrew-size fermenters. For tanks of 60–80 litres there is the 100 W Heating Mat XL.
