Refilling of food-grade CO2 in accordance with Norwegian Food Safety Authority requirements:
As the first operator in Norway, we are pleased to offer consumers food-grade CO2 refilling in accordance with the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's requirements for quality, additives, and labeling. Both the CO2 itself and the cylinders we refill from are food-grade, so you avoid the risks associated with technical CO2. The purity is 99.9%, which also means significantly less O2 than technical CO2 (industrial gas).
As a store selling food ingredients and equipment for use in beer production, we are obliged to sell food-grade CO2. The cylinders will be marked with their own label at each refill in accordance with traceability requirements.
If the beer is to be "marketed," for example as samples, for sale, or submitted for judging in competitions, the requirements in the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's notification are clear: this is the brewer's responsibility!
This also means that we can now accept the refilling of cylinders that previously contained technical CO2.
However, we still recommend "clean" cylinders, as cylinders with technical CO2 may have been filled from a container that may have previously experienced backflow of, for example, hydraulic oil in an industrial context.

We reserve the right to refuse to refill cylinders that we deem not to be in good condition, such as converted fire extinguishers.
PS! We cannot refill cylinders borrowed from Praxair or AGA. These are not permitted to be circulated or sold, as they are the property of Praxair/AGA.
